Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably whole wheat
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: If the chicken breasts are thick, pound them to an even thickness for uniform cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Set Up Breading Station: In one shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Bread the Chicken: Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Then coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
  • Air Fry the Chicken: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer, making sure they aren’t touching. Spray the tops lightly with olive oil.
  • Cook: Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
